AGRICULTURE

With Lebanon importing up to 80% of its food consumption, the need for solid and sustainable food and agriculture systems is vital.

We believe in utilizing Lebanon’s natural resources to limit our import and support our economy. We do that by relying on Lebanon’s land to support the widest number of families in need. In response to the sequential crises that impoverished more than half of the Lebanese people, we launched our agro-farming projects in lands that were donated to us in Baklush, West Bekaa and Qartaba, where we produce a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy products, honey and eggs, to supply our families of elders and children.

To ensure sustainability, we use organic farming methods and follow permaculture practices that allow us to offer our families healthy food while reviving environmentally-friendly ancestral methods and encouraging the optimization of local natural resources.

Additionally, by partnering with young Lebanese farmers, we empower youth in rural areas, while spreading awareness on organic farming methods to nearby villages and putting our knowledge at the service of the community.

COMMUNITY LIVING
We believe in innovative and creative solutions that bring forth the importance of community living. From initiating pilot projects for green urban spaces in the heart of Beirut, to rehabilitating public and school playgrounds, beautifying neighborhoods and preserving Beirut’s heritage buildings, we are all about spearheading change towards progressive cities.

SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION
In order to help schools become continuously-improving communities, we realized we needed to understand the issues affecting these schools’ efforts to make improvements, beyond their mere first-hand financial struggles. From settling tuition fees, the strategy of our education program expanded to fund the schools’ CAPEX for the purchase and installation of renewable and independent energy sources. This way, not only do we allow schools in Lebanon to become self-reliant on clean energy in a country where electricity has become a luxury, but we also allow them to save expenses on energy costs which they can use to offset the next 3 years of unpaid tuitions for identified students, as well as teachers.

PROJECTS THAT NEED URGENT ATTENTION

FOOD SECURITY

For over 30 years, Lebanon imported more than 80% of its food. Today, with the halting of imports and international donations, food scarcity hit its peak.

FORSA I

In partnership with Murex, we launched Forsa, a program designed to prevent the collapse of the education sector in Lebanon.

FORSA II

In 2022, we launched FORSA II, a project designed to provide renewable and green energy for schools with an aim to curb the escalating cost of fuel.
This program will allow schools to use the savings from the solar system, to offset unpaid tuition fees of students for the next 3 academic years
