Beit el Baraka is a non-profit organization established in Beirut in 2017, and recognized by the Lebanese state by virtue of Decree No 2277
Our Mission is to ensure a sense of dignity to hard-working citizens once they retire, by assisting them in their struggle with the increasing cost of living.
In a spirit of respect and support, we aim to provide a tailor-made accurate and beneficial response to Lebanon’s economic and multi-dimensional challenges that are depriving many retired citizens of their most basic needs and rights.
With the help of our team of young and dynamic volunteers, we provide tangible solutions, assistance and support to hundreds of Lebanese families in need, mostly around the areas of Nabaa, Karm el Zeitoun, Dora, and the main suburbs of Beirut. We aim for the reduction of inequality and exclusion of retired men and women starting the age of 64, and we hope for the alleviation of poverty in the community of senior citizens.
We Value dignity, respect and transparency in all interactions and activities.
We Value discretion and humility in giving.
We Value the resilience and wisdom of the elderly.
We Value the wise use of resources, innovative means to improve our services, and the effective use of community support that sustains our work.
We Value our team of volunteers who come from different backgrounds and enjoy diversified talents and the same commitment and passion to our cause.
We Value your partnership for social change. Your selfless contribution that will definitely impact the life of a respectful senior.
We Value creativity in the pursuit of new ways to help, assist and care for those who contributed in making our country a gentler place to live in.
Beit el Baraka is committed to ensuring special care and assistance to the most disadvantaged retired citizens, and to providing the same opportunities for a better life with no discrimination or favoritism. We will always measure our performance, plan our improvements and review our achievements in a very accurate manner because we are accountable to the families we serve and to our partners.
Our Vision is to become the guardians of dignity for the retired Lebanese Citizen...
To make sure that all Lebanese communities acknowledge the contributions older people have made to our society. We envision a community in which every senior citizen has access to sufficient nutritious food, healthcare and compassion.
People will forget what you said. They will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel.
