SOLAR PANELS
In order to help schools become continuously-improving communities, we realized we should understand the issues affecting these schools’ efforts to make improvements, beyond their mere first-hand financial struggles. After conducting a series of field visits and a survey across 46 schools, we saw the urgent need to address the burden of energy costs.

How do we do that? By creating sustainable solutions for the educational sector in Lebanon.
This is how we decided to develop our Forsa strategy and created “Forsa II”, a program designed to provide renewable solar energy for schools, all over the Lebanese territories. With an aim to curb the escalating costs of fuel, the programme will allow to fund the schools’ CAPEX for the purchase and installation of renewable and independent energy sources. In return, the saved expenses on energy costs will be used to offset unpaid tuitions for BeB-identified students for the next three years. This project will contribute to preventing the collapse of the education system, which would have devastating repercussions on the private sector by affecting in total 700,000 students, 59,000 teachers and 15,000 school administrators.
