Our Impact So Far: $4,100 raised to support 5 vulnerable cases, covering rent, essential needs, and basic necessities.
Her husband passed away seven years ago following a heart attack. Since then, she has carried the full responsibility of providing for her three children alone. Working from home as a hairdresser, her income remains unstable and insufficient to meet even their most basic needs. Her eldest daughter is currently in Terminale, at a critical stage in her education. Due to financial hardship, she has been unable to settle her school fees and now faces an outstanding balance of $2,414 in addition to 60,000,000 LBP. The school has requested full payment by the end of the month. With no financial support and no fixed income, she is left with limited options. Her only priority is to ensure her daughter can continue her education and sit for her official exams.
A family of four is currently living under acute financial and medical strain, with two children aged 10 dependents on their care. The father is battling cancer and has undergone bladder removal surgery and relies on an external urinary bag for daily living. So, his condition has forced him out of work, eliminating the family’s primary source of income. With no stable earnings, the family is struggling to cover the cost of essential medical supplies, in addition to their most basic daily needs. Immediate support is required to ensure the continuity of the children’s education. Assistance with school fees is critical to secure their enrolment for the upcoming academic year and protect their access to learning and future opportunities.
A 19-year-old young woman is living with epilepsy and requires daily treatment with Vimpat (200 mg). The cost of her medication is $150 every 28 days, which the family is struggling to afford. Without this treatment, she is at high risk of severe epileptic seizures.
She is currently pursuing her studies in hotel management, despite her medical condition. Her mother is her primary caregiver and stays home to support her. The father works in aluminium, but his income is unstable and insufficient to cover the family’s needs. The eldest daughter contributes financially and helps cover part of the medication cost.
The family is facing significant financial hardship and requires urgent support to ensure continuous access to essential medication and basic living need
An 87-year-old man lives alone following the loss of his wife. He previously worked at a travel agency but is no longer able to generate any income. He has no children and no family to support him. He currently resides in a rented home with a monthly rent of $250, an amount he cannot afford on his own, and lives under constant threat of eviction. Given his old age and financial vulnerability, he is at serious risk of losing his shelter. Urgent support is needed to help cover his rent and ensure he can continue to live in safety and dignity.
Rana is a widow who raised her two children on her own. Although her children are now older and contribute as much as they can, the family remains under significant financial pressure. Her daughter suffers from a kidney condition and requires regular dialysis, which has added a heavy and ongoing medical burden. They live in a rented home, and Rana struggles to keep up with monthly payments, leading to recurring tension with the landlord. Rana and her son work in the mouneh business, specialising in vegan products. She was recently accepted to join Souk el Tayeb, a step that would allow her to access a broader market and grow her activity. However, she must first register her business, a cost she is currently unable to afford. A contribution of $700 to complete the registration would enable her to formalise her activity, expand her sales, and move toward a more stable and sustainable source of income.
A widowed mother raising two teenage children, ages 14 and 16, is living in extremely vulnerable conditions. The windows and doors on the first floor of their home have been severely damaged and are currently covered with nylon sheets, leaving the family exposed to cold, humidity, and unsafe living conditions. Unable to secure stable employment, the mother relies on limited external support that remains insufficient to cover the urgent repairs their home requires.
The intervention will restore basic safety and dignity by replacing four large aluminium and glass windows, six glass windows, one glass door, and one black fiber panel, allowing the family to live in secure and humane conditions once again.
They risk their life for others. Let’s help them.
Since the beginning of the war, a group of volunteers has been working tirelessly to clear rubble, rescue injured civilians, and assist individuals trapped beneath debris. Operating in extremely
dangerous conditions, they coordinate with Civil Defence whenever necessary, yet continue to carry out their missions without adequate support or proper protective equipment. This intervention aims to provide the team with essential safety gear required to continue their life-saving work, including four helmets ($200 each) and four life vests ($350 each). While many additional needs remain, including small motorcycles to improve mobility and rapid response capacity, the priority is to secure the basic equipment necessary to protect these volunteers as they risk their lives to save others.
A clothing shop in Bachoura sustained significant damage following the recent bombardments, leaving the storefront exposed and unsafe. The destruction has compromised the security of the
premises and severely impacted the owner’s ability to continue operating the business and generating income. The intervention will rehabilitate the shop’s facade using glass and aluminium,
restoring safety and functionality to the space. Beyond the physical repairs, this support will help protect the owner’s livelihood and enable the business to resume normal operations.
A family-run bakery in Bachoura, operated jointly by a husband and wife, was severely impacted by the recent bombardments. The storefront sustained major damage, leaving the premises exposed and unsafe. As a temporary measure, the family was forced to seal the entrance with metal doors, significantly affecting the bakery’s visibility, accessibility, and daily operations. As a food business, proper ventilation and an open storefront are essential to ensure adequate hygiene standards, customer comfort, and the continuity of operations. The current conditions are placing the family’s only source of income at serious risk. The proposed intervention will rehabilitate the storefront, restoring safe and functional access to the bakery while enabling the family to resume normal operations and preserve their livelihood.
A family in Bachoura with four children is living in unsafe and harsh conditions after their home’s glass windows collapsed and several room doors were damaged. The father is unable to afford the
necessary repairs, leaving the family to rely on curtains for coverage.
This provides no protection from weather conditions, with wind entering the home and making it uncomfortable, especially for the children.
The proposed support will repair the windows and doors, restoring basic safety, protection, and dignified living conditions for the family.
An elderly man living with Parkinson’s disease has been unable to access his essential medication for over a year due to financial hardship. Without consistent treatment, his condition has significantly deteriorated, making daily activities increasingly difficult and severely impacting his quality of life. He lives with his elderly wife in a single rented room under very challenging conditions. The couple has no stable source of income and struggles to meet even their most basic needs. The annual cost of his medication is $1,393, an amount far beyond their means. As a result, he has been forced to go without proper treatment, placing his health at serious risk. Urgent support is required to restore his access to medication and ensure a minimum standard of care and dignity in his daily life.
A 58-year-old woman is the sole caregiver for her 64-year-old brother, who suffered a severe brain haemorrhage and stroke. Following multiple surgeries, including the removal of part of his brain and the placement of a prosthesis, he is now partially paralysed, unable to speak, and fully dependent on her for daily care. He also suffers from advanced cataracts, with significant vision loss, and requires surgery on both eyes. She is unable to work, as her brother requires constant supervision and assistance.
She requires immediate support for:
Cataract surgery for both eyes ($1,200) to restore his vision.
Ongoing physiotherapy ($600 per month, at $40 per session) to prevent further deterioration.
Without this support, his condition will continue to decline, placing both of them in an increasingly critical situation
Urgent assistance is needed to improve his quality of life and alleviate the heavy burden on his sister.
