A 9-year-old girl is living with Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH), a rare inherited condition that causes extremely high levels of “bad” LDL cholesterol from early childhood and puts her at serious risk of premature heart disease and stroke.

She requires an ongoing treatment called Repatha, administered three times a month, to keep her cholesterol under control and protect her heart and brain. Each injection costs $500 and is unfortunately not covered by the government.

When she cannot receive her treatment, she struggles to eat, becomes extremely tired, has difficulty focusing, and is unable to live the normal, active life of a child.
